About Andres

I’m an experienced editor and writer who has focused on the topics of local news, technology, sports and education.

Most recently, I've worked on a number of articles, case studies and other projects, for the Church Facilities Conference & Expo, Technologies for Worship Magazine, and rAVe Agency.

From December 2017 to December 2019, I served as the Content Producer for the website publication Worship Tech Director, operated by Informa, located in Westborough, Mass. I was responsible for writing and editing daily content to the site pertaining to audio, video, lighting and streaming technology implemented at churches and other houses of worship across the country.

Prior to those two years, I worked as the site editor for the same online publication, dating back to November 2015, when the publication was owned by EH Media in Framingham, Mass.  When the site was rebranded in January 2016, site traffic grew by more than 50 percent, and increased return visitors to the site by more than 75 percent.

Prior to those roles, for eight months in 2015, I worked as the Brand Quality Assurance Specialist for the integrated advertising agency, GYK Antler, in Manchester, N.H. My primary responsibilities were to provide clean copy for all print and web projects, along with radio and TV scripts, for more than 40 clients including America's Test Kitchen, Breville, Lowell Five, New Hampshire Lottery, Rackspace, Stamford Hospital, Sweet Baby Ray's, The Mountain and United Bank.

Prior to GYK Antler, I worked as a copy editor for nearly six months for the New Hampshire Union Leader in Manchester, N.H., where I designed pages with Adobe InDesign, typically completing between four to six pages for the next day's newspaper edition. In addition, I often served as the web editor, updating the newspaper's website, along with editing and revising online articles, HTML and photos.

From February 2004 to March 2014, I fulfilled various roles for The Gardner News, in Gardner, Mass., a six-day daily newspaper. Beginning as a News Staff Writer, I transitioned to become Night Editor three months later, and then the Assistant Editor/Newspapers In Education Coordinator six months later. I fulfilled that role for four years and then worked as the Senior News Editor/Newspapers In Education Director for an additional five-plus years. Along with two other editors, I managed a full-time staff of up to six reporters, sharing layout duties and writing up to two weekly columns as well as writing periodic editorials and entertainment features.
